Holland pavilion - World Expo 2008

The pavilion theme ‘Building With Nature’ connected strongly to the 2008 Expo Theme of ‘Water and Sustainable Development’. We framed a piece of a Dutch polder landscape with its archetypical grassed dyke and used it as the pavilion’s main spatial feature. It functioned as an ideal stand for the multimedia experience that consisted of a large sheet of projection surface that curved in front of the visitors like a giant wave. The film was integral element of the concept design and developed in cooperation with MetropolisFilm.
