Holland pavilion - World Expo 2020 submission
Answering to the briefed theme of Sustainability, we teamed up with RAU architects, authorities on the topic. Thomas Rau's vision was inspiring a very bold and optimistic statement - with the abundance of available solar energy in Dubai we could do anything. We could create a giant ice cube out of the air, right here in the desert. With ice you have water, with water you grow food. The concept and experience of the 10 m high ice cube in the Dubai desert heat would've been on anyone's mind forever. We came in top 5 of proposals. And ranked maximum with concept.
