The 34-kilometer long Markermeer dikes are being completely revised, stabilized, strengthened - a monumental job that has to ensure the safety of a large region. The information center in Katwoude presents the full scale of project aspects to its visitors. Historical, environmental, sociological, social, technical, personal. The central curving dyke organized the space and built a nice warm, protective and friendly basis for the exhibition. An important gesture to set a positive tone for a sensitive theme.
