Municipality of Gennep - 1641 - Beleef de belegering (Experience the siege)
Festively opened on October 3, 2024. A sparkling, permanent museal experience about the siege of the Genneper Huys by Frederik Hendrik van Oranje.
On a small surface, a big story is told. A special combination of museal collection, historical characters and audio stories. An immersive, large film projection brings the Genneper Huys to life.
Especially the position of the local civilian population at that time is not widely known and is emphasized in this experience.
A new touristic attraction for Gennep, in the 17th century historic town hall, that is very well received. For all ages, see also the playful children's route developed with Het Imaginarium.
Design by MOXIE, conceived and developed together with MCW creative agency who developed the entire multimedia concept and design. Content development by the municipality of Gennep and the Limburgs Museum.
