Somali Pirates - Marinemuseum
This exhibition gave insight into the contemporary piracy in the Horn of Africa, the world of the Somali pirates - and the Royal Netherlands Navy that fights them. The scenography led the visitors through two strong contrasting scenes: the organized Royal Netherlands Navy force on one side, and a chaotic Somali pirate homebase with stacked oil barrels on the other side. The center space presented the confrontation at sea between the two parties. The exhibition ran for many years in the Marinemuseum in Den Helder.
